Die Kapazität des Gaußschen optischen Intensitätskanals skaliert bei geringem Signal-Rausch-Verhältnis genau mit E√(log(1/E)^2), und die Kapazität des Poisson-optischen Intensitätskanals skaliert genau mit E log log(1/E).
In diesem Artikel wird ein Punkt-zu-Punkt-Resonanzstrahlkommunikationssystem (RBCom) in einem quasi-statischen Szenario untersucht, bei dem zwei getrennt aufgestellte Retroreflektoren verwendet werden, um den Resonanzstrahl zwischen Sender und Empfänger zu erzeugen. Es wird ein neues informationsübertragungsschema vorgestellt, das eine synchronisationsbasierte Amplitudenmodulation verwendet, um die durch den reflektierten Resonanzstrahl verursachte Echointerferenz zu reduzieren. Darauf aufbauend wird gezeigt, dass der quasi-statische RBCom-Kanal einem Markov-Kanal mit unendlich vielen Zuständen entspricht, der weiter als ein amplitudenbegrenzter AWGN-Kanal vereinfacht werden kann. Schließlich werden die Kapazitätsobergrenzen- und Untergrenzenmaximierungsprobleme für das betrachtete RBCom-System formuliert und gelöst.
