Case Summary:
Child with hematuria and pyuria history.
No associated symptoms.
Recent visit to Africa, exposure to rivers.
Cousins also had hematuria.
Urinalysis showed proteinuria, blood, and elevated eosinophils.
Negative for leukocyte esterase and nitrites.
Normal white blood cell count.
Positive for Schistosoma IgG.
Stats
Eosinophils were elevated at 23.7%.
Serology was positive for Schistosoma IgG.
