Investigating heart rate changes during the Trier Social Stress Test (TSST) reveals increased heart rate during mental arithmetic tasks, indicating stress impact. Monitoring Electrocardiogram (ECG) patterns can identify stress levels effectively. A web interface with varying complexity in mental arithmetic problems induces stress in participants, reflecting in their heart rate. Wearable sensors like ECG and PPG bands enable continuous stress monitoring in various settings. The study design includes different levels of mental arithmetic tasks to induce stress, showing higher heart rates during task-solving compared to baseline and resting periods.
