Enhancing the FASER Experiment's Preshower Detector: Initial Performance Assessment and Calibration of the Production Monolithic Silicon Pixel ASIC for TeV-Scale Electromagnetic Shower Detection
The FASER experiment is developing a high-resolution tungsten-silicon preshower detector to enhance its ability to distinguish closely spaced photon pairs with TeV-scale energies. The production monolithic silicon pixel ASIC, fabricated using 130 nm SiGe BiCMOS technology, has undergone initial performance testing and calibration to optimize its charge reconstruction capabilities.
