Ego-to-Exo: Enhancing ROV Teleoperation with Real-time Third-Person Visuals from Egocentric Views Using Monocular SLAM and 3D Geometry
This research paper introduces Ego-to-Exo, a novel augmented reality-inspired teleoperation interface for underwater ROVs that enhances situational awareness and improves operational efficiency in challenging underwater environments by providing on-demand third-person perspectives and real-time augmented ROV pose information.
