ViboPneumo is a finger-worn haptic device that modulates perceived roughness of physical surfaces using vibrotactile and pneumatic feedback. Through user-perception experiments, it was found that participants could perceive changes in roughness compared to the original material surface. The device includes a silicone-based pneumatic actuator for reducing contact area and an on-finger vibrator for increasing roughness.
