The article introduces a novel algorithm called Stackelberg Iterative Linear-Quadratic Games (SILQGames) that can efficiently solve dynamic Stackelberg games with nonlinear dynamics and nonquadratic costs. The authors then use SILQGames within the Stackelberg Leadership Filter (SLF) to infer the leading agent in a two-agent interaction. The key highlights and insights are: SILQGames iteratively solves linear-quadratic approximations of the original nonlinear Stackelberg game and is shown to consistently converge in repeated trials.
