Abstract
The study analyzes the growth and development of Indo-German collaborative research from 1990 to 2022. It examines the year-wise publication and citation trends, identifies the top scientific disciplines involved, and explores the countries and organizations actively engaged in this collaboration. Key findings: The publication trend shows consistent and increasing growth, with the majority of publications in the last seven years. Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Astronomy & Astrophysics, and Engineering are the dominant disciplines in Indo-German collaborative research. The United States, England, and France are the top collaborating countries, with both bilateral and multilateral collaborations observed. Major German and Indian funding agencies, international corporations, and universities are the key supporters of this research. Analysis of acknowledgement texts reveals associations between the first author's gender and the acknowledged entities, as well as between scientific domains and entity types. Only a weak correlation is found between the number of citations and the number of authors, affiliations, countries, and funding organizations. The study provides an open dataset of Indo-German research articles for further research and reproducibility.
