This article discusses the application of BackCom assisted Hybrid NOMA (H-NOMA) to ambient Internet of Things (IoT) with energy-constrained devices. It focuses on resource allocation for H-NOMA uplink transmission, comparing it to conventional OMA. The study develops analytical results for a two-user special case and presents algorithms for multi-user scenarios. Numerical simulations verify the performance gain of H-NOMA over OMA.
