Core Concepts
The tech interview process can be an exhausting and demoralizing experience, even for skilled candidates, with multiple rounds of interviews that seem to go on endlessly without a clear outcome.
Abstract
The author shares their experience of going through an extensive tech interview process that consisted of several rounds, including an all-day marathon of interviews. The process started with an introductory call with a recruiter, followed by an in-site interview. The next step was a full-day interview session that included various challenges, such as being asked to solve problems in technologies the author was not familiar with, and being asked to continue working on a problem even after providing the solution, in order to evaluate their thought process.
Despite passing these initial rounds, the author was then required to go through an interview with the CTO, which was billed as a casual chat but ended up being another lengthy and tiring experience. The author expresses their frustration with the seemingly endless nature of the interview process, which ultimately did not result in a job offer.
