In 1933, a group of American gangsters attempted to rob a British bank in Newcastle upon Tyne but failed miserably. Armed with revolvers and masks, they entered the bank at closing time, only to face resistance from clerks and customers. The ineptitude of the robbers was evident as they struggled to control the situation, leading to their ultimate failure in executing the heist.
