Khái niệm cốt lõi
Sharing three deeply troubling work experiences can serve as a cautionary tale about the importance of healthy work environments and professional conduct.
Tóm tắt
The author recounts three of the worst work experiences they have had.
The first experience was at their first job out of college, where the CEO/boss was extremely unfriendly and critical of the author's work. One day, the boss angrily yelled at the author on the phone with her business coach, embarrassing the author in front of the entire office. Not long after, the author was laid off.
The second experience was at a startup company called GSI Commerce, which the author initially enjoyed working at. However, the startup vibe eventually faded, and the author's boss made fun of their son's name in front of the team, which the author found deeply upsetting.
The third experience was at a large corporation, where the author was forced to work in a cubicle all day, which they hated. However, the author did at least like their manager there, which was a small consolation.
The author emphasizes that these negative work experiences have left them with lasting trauma and PTSD. The purpose of sharing these stories is to serve as a cautionary tale about the importance of maintaining a healthy, professional work environment, where employees are treated with respect and dignity.
