Abstract
The study explores the impact of Evolutionary Computation (EC) methods on robotic design optimization using an underactuated hand exoskeleton (U-HEx) as a case study. The research compares EC techniques like Genetic Algorithms and Big Bang-Big Crunch Algorithm with a naive brute-force approach. Results show that EC methods yield more precise and optimal solutions in significantly less time, improving torque magnitude transfer efficiency.
