In dieser Arbeit werden Konstruktionen und Eigenschaften von pseudozufälligen Array-Codes und de Bruijn-Array-Codes untersucht. Diese stellen zweidimensionale Verallgemeinerungen von eindimensionalen Sequenzen mit Fenstereigenschaften dar.
Durch den Einsatz eines geeigneten Anteils an verallgemeinerten Constraint-Knoten können GLDPC-Codes die ursprüngliche Lücke zur Kapazität im Vergleich zu ihren ursprünglichen LDPC-Gegenstücken über den BEC- und BI-AWGN-Kanal reduzieren.
Diese Arbeit untersucht das Raten von geordneten Statistiken und formuliert die Komplexität der geordneten Statistiken-Decodierung (OSD) in binären additiven weißen Gaußschen Rauschkanälen. Sie entwickelt eine neue obere Schranke für das Raten von unabhängigen Sequenzen und erweitert diese dann auf geordnete Statistiken. Die Arbeit nutzt die etablierten Schranken, um die bestmögliche Decodierungskomplexität von OSD zu formulieren, bei der keine Leistungseinbußen auftreten. Außerdem zeigt sie, dass die durchschnittliche Komplexität von OSD bei maximaler Decodierungsordnung durch die modifizierte Besselfunktion genau approximiert werden kann, die mit der Codedimension nahezu exponentiell ansteigt. Schließlich liefert die Arbeit Erkenntnisse zur Anwendung dieser Ergebnisse, um die Effizienz praktischer Decoderrealisierungen zu verbessern.
Eine nicht-asymptotische Erreichbarkeitsgrenze für variable-Länge-Stop-Feedback-Codierung über den Gaußkanal wird präsentiert. Diese Grenze nutzt eine Zufallskodierung-Ensemble-Methode in Kombination mit Mindestabstandsdekodierung.
