Pixel-GS verbessert die Rekonstruktionsqualität von 3D-Gaussian-Splatting, indem es die Anzahl der Pixel berücksichtigt, die von einer Gaußschen Verteilung in jeder Ansicht abgedeckt werden. Dadurch können Gausssche Verteilungen mit großen Skalen, die in Bereichen mit unzureichenden Initialisierungspunkten wahrscheinlicher sind, effektiv wachsen, ohne dass in Bereichen mit ausreichenden Punkten unnötiges Wachstum auftritt.
